عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا حُجَّاجًا، فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِحَيَّاتٍ كَأَنَّهُنَّ قُدُورٌ تَغْلِي، فَقَتَلْنَاهَا قَالَ: وَأَوْطَأَ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا بَعِيرَهُ ضَبًّا، فَدَقَّ صُلْبَهُ، فَسَأَلْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ الْحَيَّاتِ ؟ فَقَالَ:" قَتَلْتَ عَدُوًّا" وَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنِ الضَّبِّ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ، وَإِلَى رَجُلٍ، فَقَالَ:" أَتَرَوْا لِي جَدْيًا قَدْ بَلَغَ الْمَاءَ وَالشَّجَرَ يُجْزِيهِ ؟"، قَالَ: نَعَمْ فَأَمَرَهُ بِهِ
