حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ إِذْ جَاءَهُ الصُّنَابِحِيُّ فَبَكَى، فَقَالَ لَهُ: مَا يُبْكِيكَ ؟ فَوَاللهِ لَئِنِ اسْتُشْهِدْتُ لَأَشْهَدَنَّ لَكَ، وَلَئِنْ شُفِّعْتُ لَأَشْفَعَنَّ لَكَ وَلَئِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُ لَأَنْفَعَنَّكَ، وَمَا كَتَمْتُكُمْ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا حَدِيثًا وَاحِدًا وَسَأُحَدِّثُكُمُوهُ، وَقَدْ أُحِيطَ بِي: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَرَّمَ النَّارَ عَلَى مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ
