حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَرِيشِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -: لَا تَعْجَلْ إِلَى شَيْءٍ تَظُنُّ أَنَّكَ إِنِ اسْتَعْجَلْتَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْتَ مُدْرِكُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ اللهُ لَمْ يُقَدِّرْهُ لَكَ ، وَلَا تَسْتَأْخِرَنَّ عَنْ شَيْءٍ تَظُنُّ أَنَّكَ إِنِ اسْتَأْخَرْتَ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ فَرَغَ عَنْكَ وَإِنْ كَانَ اللهُ قَدْ قَدَّرَهُ عَلَيْكَ
