وَنَاهُ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، نَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَاللَّفْظُ لَفْظُ هُشَيْمٍ - قَالَ: خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي الْقَرْنُ الَّذِينَ بُعِثْتُ فِيهِمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ - ثُمَّ اللهُ أَعْلَمُ ذَكَرَ الثَّالِثَ أَمْ لَا - ثُمَّ يَنْشَأُ قَوْمٌ يُحِبُّونَ السَّمَانَةَ وَيَنْذِرُونَ فَلَا يُوفُونَ
