حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي الثَّوْرِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَةٍ فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يَسِيرُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَجْهُهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ وَهُوَ يُومِئُ إِيمَاءً فَكَلَّمْتُهُ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ: إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي.
