أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أَنْبَأَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لِبَعْضِ أَهْلِهِ: أَتَعْرِفِينَ فُلَانَةَ ؟ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَرَّ بِهَا، وَهِيَ عِنْدَ قَبْرٍ تَبْكِي، فَقَالَ لَهَا:" اتَّقِي اللهَ وَاصْبِرِي". فَقَالَتْ: إِلَيْكَ عَنِّي، فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُبَالِي بِمُصِيبَتِي. فَقِيلَ لَهَا: إِنَّهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. فَأَخَذَهَا مِثْلُ الْمَوْتِ، فَانْتَهَتْ إِلَى بَابِهِ فَلَمْ تَجِدْ بَوَّابِينَ، فَدَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْرِفْكَ. فَقَالَ لَهَا: الصَّبْرُ عِنْدَ أَوَّلِ صَدْمَةٍ

Narrated in both Ṣaḥīḥs (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) (al-Bukhārī no. 1252, 1283, 1302; Muslim no. 926).
