حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، قَالَ: نَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: وَافَقْتُ رَبِّي فِي ثَلَاثٍ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَوِ اتَّخَذْتَ مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى ، فَنَزَلَتْ: وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى وَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، يَدْخُلُ عَلَى نِسَائِكَ الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ، فَلَوْ أَمَرْتَهُنَّ أَنْ يَحْتَجِبْنَ، فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ. وَاجْتَمَعَ نِسَاءُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُنَّ: عَسَى رَبُّهُ إِنْ طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُ أَزْوَاجًا خَيْرًا مِنْكُنَّ مُسْلِمَاتٍ الْآيَةَ، فَنَزَلَتْ.
